'Leo' box office collection day 20: Vijay's action drama is set to surpass the 600-crore mark today

Thalapathy Vijay's movie 'Leo', which is directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, was released in theaters on October 19. Despite the film opening to mixed reviews, it has transformed into a box office blockbuster, and it has a stronghold in its third week. Now, the latest update on the box office collection of 'Leo' is that Vijay's film has grossed Rs 599 crore at the end of day 20. The busy weekdays slowed down the film's box office storm, and the film earned just Rs 3 crore on day 20. However, the action drama is set to breach the 600-crore mark today, and it will be ending the third week of its theatrical run on a successful note.

'Leo' will be the first film by Vijay and the only Tamil film to gross over Rs 600 crore. But the film's upcoming days are under threat, with multiple Tamil releases scheduled for Diwali.

In Tamil Nadu, 'Leo' has grossed over Rs 200 crore, and the film is expected to overtake Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' collection (Rs 206 crore) in the home state. After getting a massive start in overseas locations, 'Leo' has slowed down in the region, and it accordingly delayed the film's box office achievement. However, the film has broken box office records in multiple locations, and it turned out to be a highly profitable film for the makers.

'Leo' features Vijay in a character of dual shades, while Trisha plays his pair to reunite with the actor after 15 years. Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Menon, Arjun Sarja, Mathew Thomas, Mysskin, Sandy, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Mathew Thomas, among others, played supporting roles, while the film also had some surprising cameo appearances. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music, and the rockstar composer delivered power-packed music.
